The dance floor its self.... was REALLY... REALLY hot. They were overcrowded and kinda... gross. One of the single worst nightclubs I've been to. The highlights of this... college students there, so most of the people there were my age.
So when I actually got in, the first place I tried to go was the bathrooms, as I had been waiting outside for a long time.
They do not encourage lewd  behavior, however, if you can't act like a civilized adult, who can blame them for exploiting it. I'm a person, not a tropical frog.I have always been treated with the upmost respect from the owner and staff. They did an outstanding job for the fundraiser we had for my loving mother. The music was good, and I danced with a few guys, but I couldn't stand it- I think it was more humidity than anything, in addition to the heat (it felt like a tropical jungle in there). Shooters is a great club, the only place in Durham of its size, w/a huge dance floor, an awesome DJ, and reasonable drink prices. Nobody wants to waite hours outside to get into a club then when you finally do get in there somebody starts a fight and you end up leaving! When you need a place to have a special function, I truly recommend booking it at Shooters! I was pretty drunk when I arrived here, as it seems most people are, so my recollection is a little hazy. I've done my fair share of clubbing, and I have to say Ive never left the dance floor so soon, and never for a reason such as heat.
