They are quick reads (approx 90 minutes), so it won't take you long to catch up.I loved the first episode in the Heartless series, and have just finished reading episode #2, and it keeps getting better and better. MERCILESS is the first book in her Throne of Glass-esque fantasy series, complete with tough-as-nails assassins, snarky blacksmiths, a dreamy prince, and a mad king. In the second book, Elizabeth has let her heart thaw a little bit, and Daniel has continued his pursuit of her.

Dual point of view. I finished it in one day, but I can tell it's not going to be one of those books I can remember anything about in a week. I love Daniel Alexander with a passion, we see his true self in this book and he is actually really endearing, passionate, loving and sincere and I do actually believe every word that has come out of his mouth in this book. I would think being as level headed and string willed as she is that Elizabeth would have confronted Daniel with the news she just found out, but I also know that emotions run high and people don't always think things through during those times. I devoured reading the first episode and then completed reading the second one as soon as I could, and holy smokes Daniel is delicious!
